Why is luxury vinyl so popular?

Are you looking for flooring with a great look to it? Something stylish and durable? Then look at luxury vinyl flooring. You'll like it because you’ll find that it can go into every room in your home.

Two types of luxury vinyl

Luxury vinyl flooring comes in two types: plank and tile. Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) comes in strips of varying lengths and widths, depending on your choice. LVP is very flexible, and it molds itself to the subfloor.

Luxury vinyl tile (LVT) is in a different form. It comes in a tile shape of various sizes and is harder and more firm than LVP. However, it is made of the same material as LVP. It usually goes in the kitchen or bathroom, or laundry room. LVT is enhanced by the grout that you can add to the flooring. At first sight, you might think you are looking at actual ceramic or stone tiles.

Attractiveness

Luxury vinyl has an imaging layer that is made with 3D photography. It has depth to it. So if the floor were nicked or gouged because of the depth, you wouldn't be able to tell. The picture of the imaging layer represents what you want: wood that is detailed with whorls and knots and grains; stone with its veins and texture. The flooring is usually micro-beveled and embossed to give it an aged look.

Waterproof

LVT and LVP are both waterproofed to the core. This is because the core is constructed with PVC vinyl. PVC is a standard construction material, utterly resistant to water. Luxury vinyl will not peel, or warp, or curl when you expose it to water, even for extended periods.
